Street Anti-Semitism Anti-Semitic posters posted on the walls of Istanbul’s Kurtulus and Ferikoy neighborhoodsIshak Ibrahimzadeh, Leader of Turkish Jewish Community after seeing posters containing anti-Semitic expressions and hate speech on the walls of Istanbul’s busiest streets on Kurtulus and Ferikoy neighborhoods, tweeted “One morning you wake up and see Kurtulus and Ferikoy surrounded by anti-Semitic posters” and sent a complaint to Sisli Municipality regarding the posters.

The municipality informed Ibrahimzadeh that the posters will be removed. Ibrahimzadeh also stated that the posters constitute a crime, therefore shall be reported to legal authorities.

Ulus Jewish High School’s 9th grade students Yusuf Ozsalom, Irem Kamhi, Pelin Avramoglu and Moti Barokas developed a fire extinguishing drone that could be used specifically at spaces where firefighters cannot physically reach. The team’s drone, which they named “The Fire-Fighting Drone”, attracted national media’s attention and the Project had a wide coverage in media.
