The gifted jazz pianist Shai Maestro with “Shai Maestro Trio” will perform a concert on July 17th, in the scope of 26th Istanbul Jazz Festival.

One of the most talented jazz pianists of his time, Shai Maestro from Israel, is going to perform a concert at Zorlu PSM Turkcell Platinum Stage, on July 17th. The concert will take place as a part of 26th Istanbul Jazz Festival which bears the catch-phrase ‘Hands that touch Jazz’. 

Shai Maestrowho accompanied well-known talented musicians like Chick Corea, Tigran Hamasyan, Esperanza Spalding and Diana Krall during their concerts, had first joined the Avishai Cohen Trio in 2008 and recorded four albums with them. He then formed his own trio “Shai Maestro Trio” in 2010. Since then he portrayed a magical musical fluidity and made his trio one of the most powerful and harmonious groups of contemporary jazz.

Maestro who had started playing classical piano when he was five years old, says that his roots’ coming from Israel greatly affected his music, as Israel is a country of immigrants from many different countries just like New York, and this gives Israeli music its enchanting sound. 

Shai’s fifth album “The Dream Thief” is featuring the brilliant pianist with his trio of Ofri Nehemya on drums and bassist Jorge Roeder, as well as playing alone.  

Shai Maestro and his trio with their magical tunes will take the listeners on a beautiful journey on July 17th at Zorlu PSM Turkcell Platinum Stage. Just close your eyes and let music work its magic...
