The Torah was given to the Jewish people on Mount Sinai 3,332 years ago on Shavuot. Every year on the Shavuot holiday we renew our acceptance of the Torah, as it is given anew. It is customary to stay up and learn Torah on the first night of Shavuot. Also, it is customary to eat dairy foods on the Shavuot Holiday.
