Leon Esim made a declaration in the name of the Turkish Italian Jewish Community Board of Directors, heralding that the Historical Italian Synagogue (Kal De Los Francos) which had been closed for worship for one and a half years due to the pandemic, is reopening on Saturday, August 28th, for the morning tefillah, in preparation of Yamim Noraim - the High Holy Days.

Esim went on saying, "We will be very happy to see all our worshippers as well as our friends, on this happy day. All necessary precautions have been taken by our management in order to welcome our community in an environment complying with the pandemic regulations. To be able to realize our reopening in the presence of a crowded community shall add emotion and enthusiasm to our tefilla. We declare that your presence will honor us, and greet you with love and respect."
