Zülfü Livaneli & his novel ´Serenade for Nadia´
The famous Turkish writer and musician Zülfü Livaneli's bestseller novel 'Serenade' written in 2016 is now out in English from Other Press in the USA, with the name 'Serenade for Nadia', translated by Brendon Freely.
'Serenade for Nadia' while talking about a love that lasts for 60 years, displays how in every political incident, like the Holocaust, the real casualty is always human.
The novel tells the story of a couple trying to run away from the Holocaust during World War II, from Professor Maximillian Wagner's point of view, who years later comes to Istanbul and revives the sad story of the Struma disaster.
