President Erdoğan and Mayor of Istanbul Imamoğlu Wished a Happy Rosh Hashanah
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Mayor of Istanbul Ekrem Imamoğlu sent greetings for the Jewish holiday Rosh Hashanah, which marks the first and second days of the Jewish year.President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan sent his best wishes for the the Jewish new year Rosh Hashanah, with a press release broadcasted on the website of the presidency. His message is as follows:
"For centuries, our glorious nation living on this land that is a symbol of the civilization of love and tolerance, have conceived the social, cultural, political and humanistic pluralism as the most important wealth of unity and solidarity. The holidays our citizens of different belief celebrate, keeping their cultures and traditions alive, add color to our social life and help our companionship and unity strengthen. With these thoughts in mind, I wish all the Jewish people, especially our citizents, the best."
Mayor of Istanbul Ekrem Imamoğlu also wished a happy Rosh Hashanah through his twitter account. In his tweet he said, "I am sending my greetings to all the Jewish citizens for the Rosh Hashanah holiday, and I wish the new year to bring prosperity, wealth and brotherhood. Hag Sameah."
