´Fields of Roses´ @ Gallery 77
April 20, 2021
Gallery 77 in the Karaköy district of Istanbul is hosting Mehmet Resul Kaçar's first solo exhibition in Istanbul titled 'Fields of Roses', until May 2nd. The exhibition named after the Fields of Roses (Güllerin Ovası) region in Demo village of Diyarbakır, besides the artist's new paintings also features a video work.
The artist, who depicts the region he has been born and raised in his works, in this exhibition, on one hand, is conveying the landscapes with his unique plastic language, on the other hand, is analyzing the relationship between human abuse and violence against animals. The spike-yellow background Kaçar uses in his paintings, contains some clues of the artist's originality.
