Vitali Hakko Creative Industries Library at Atatürk Cultural Center
Vitali Hakko Creative Industries Library, which had been established in 2011 by Vakko Chairman of the Board, Cem Hakko, in memory of Vitali Hakko and his inspiration for art and education, is now moved to Atatürk Cultural Center (AKM) on its 10th year anniversary.Vakko has brought together Atatürk Cultural Center (AKM) and the Vitali Hakko Creative Industries Library, which is one of the most important cultural values of its 86 years of history and contains the most up-to-date and comprehensive collections on various fields of art such as fashion, architecture, photography, painting, sculpture, and cinema.
The award-winning library originally established in 2011 within the Vakko Nakkaştepe Fashion Center by Vakko Chairman of the Board, Cem Hakko, in memory of Vitali Hakko and his inspiration for art, books, and education, to keep his name alive for generations, is celebrating its 10th year anniversary in Atatürk Cultural Center (AKM).
Cem Hakko expressing that he was proud and happy on behalf of his family, to see the library in Atatürk Cultural Center (AKM) said, "Atatürk Cultural Center, with its new and award-winning architecture, had felt the pulse of Turkey for years along with its location, and values reaching the present from the past. Now it will carry it to a larger scale. We are proud to take place in this valuable cultural center, with this important value of Vakko. Vitali Hakko Creative Industries Library will offer a research opportunity full of arts for especially the students studying in any field of art, besides instructors, artists, and all enthusiasts. To move this library, which is an indicator of my father's respect for fashion, art, above all, to people, and his contribution to education, is also an honor for our family. We are thankful to our Ministry of Culture and Tourism for their devoted work and for getting us back together with AKM."
Vitali Hakko Creative Industries Library which will be able to reach a wider audience in its 400 m2 new location, will bring together the digital and visual archives including 15,000 books with special editions of the world's most prestigious publishing houses along with signed copies specific to the library, with academicians, university students, artists, art enthusiasts, and tourists visiting Turkey from various countries.
