On Sunday, December 5th, a ´Galata through Abrahamic Religions at Festival of Lights´ tour will be organized.On Sunday, December 5th, a 'Galata through Abrahamic Religions at Festival of Lights' tour will be organized by the Quincentenial Foundation Museum of Turkish Jews with the co-operation of 'Istanbul Tükenmeden [meaning 'Before Istanbul Runs Out']'.
The Galata tour that will take place accompanied by the professional tour guide Diana Misir, will start with the walk to Karaköy through Yüksekkaldirim. Then the historic inns, the Arab Mosque, the Russian Rooftop Churches, the Turkish Orthodox Church, the colorful streets of Karaköy, the Underground Mosque, the Genoese Buildings, the Camondo Stairs, the Jewish heritage houses on Serdar-ı Ekrem Street, the Neve Shalom Synagogue, and the Quincentenial Foundation Museum of Turkish Jews will be visited.
The authorities have expressed that a limited number of participants will be accepted, and some locations which are private properties will only be able to be seen from the outside.
