From the Museum of Turkish Jews: ´Military Objects´
The ´Military objects´ selected from the Quincentenial Foundation Museum of Turkish Jews collection... July 14, 2022
Among the Museum of Turkish Jews collection, there are also many military objects and ephemera. These objects are very important in order to honor, commemorate and tell the stories of thousands of Jewish soldiers that had fought in the Balkan War, the Gallipoli campaign (Çanakkale War), and later during the War of Independence of Turkey.
The military identification seen above had been given to Jak Arditi in 1331 (1915), during the First World War, while he was on active duty in the orient railways. This document, which had been donated to the museum by Silvyo Ovadya, is displayed on the second floor of the Quincentenial Foundation Museum of Turkish Jews.
