Renée Levi in Istanbul with Three Projects

The Swiss artist Renée Levi, born in Istanbul, is meeting art enthusiasts with her three projects. Levi will be contributing to autumn's bustling art life in Istanbul, with her solo exhibition in Öktem Aykut Gallery titled Désirée, the production titled Alba she will perform together with Janiv Oron in Akaretler 37-39, and her site-specific large painting installation titled Barba she will present on Tersane Istanbul's dock, in the context of Contemporary Istanbul. Levi, who has been continuing her gestural, performative, spatial, and typographic inquiries, especially painting, within the framework of contemporary art and academic studies for almost thirty years, has also previously held solo exhibitions in Istanbul.
Renée Levi's exhibition Désirée can be visited in Öktem Aykut Gallery, between the dates September 8th and November 5th. The title of the exhibition, emphasizing a strong wish, expresses her feelings together for this extraordinary city she was born in, her childhood, and the Istanbul exhibition she is holding after many years. The exhibition, spreading on the two floors of the gallery, includes 12 works she has produced in 2022.
Levi's exhibition Alba she is performing together with the artist Janiv Oron, who uses sound as the main medium, can be visited between the dates September 13th and October 22nd, and her large installation Barba, she has produced for the contemporary art fair Contemporary Istanbul, can be seen between the dates September 17-22.
