European Film Academy´s ´European Editing´ Award Goes to Eytan Ipeker

'Burning Days (Kurak Günler)', which has received 9 awards including 'The Best Director' Award at the Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival earlier this year, managed to be the first Turkish production to receive an award from the EFA, known as the Oscars of Europe, since the 'Clouds of May (Mayıs Sıkıntısı)' that received the European Fipresci Award in the year 2000.

Eytan Ipeker, born in Istanbul in 1981, studied at New York University. His experimental short films were screened at festivals such as Toronto, Edinburgh, Istanbul, !f Istanbul (International Independent Film Festival), and Antalya. Eytan Ipeker besides the short film ‘Dantelacı (Embroidery Maker)’ (2005) sponsored by Şalom newspaper, is known for the short film ‘Unmade Bed’ (2015), the documentary ‘Idil Biret: The Portrait of a Childhood Prodigy’ (2015), and his first feature film which he has directed ‘The Pageant (2020)’.
