Kasadolu Draws Attention to the Increasing Hostility Towards Turkish Jews
The businessperson Doğan Kasadolu wrote a letter to AKP´s Ankara Member of Parliament Tuğrul Türkeş, drawing attention to the increasing anti-Semitism.Kasadolu, in the letter where he stated that "The seeds of hostility towards the Turkish Jews are being sown", asked Türkeş to make an effort to warn the authorities.
Mentioning that the relevant institutions were not taking any action in the face of the developing situation, Kasadolu recalled the September 6-7 incidents and the 2003 attacks on the synagogues and said "Before a major disaster of which the foundation is being prepared occurs, I ask of you, as a valuable and conscious member of the parliament, for your support in warning the authorities to take action in order to reflect the necessary sensitivity on this issue."
Halk TV reported that Kasadolu, expressing that he wrote the letter representing only himself, emphasized the complaint he had made had not been raised by the Chief Rabbinate of Turkey and added, "I also hereby state that I am always fearlessly at your service in all of the actions and processes to be carried out for the benefit of our country."
