“Different Cultures Look at Each Other” event in Sisli

“Different Cultures Look at Each Other” series of events organized by Sisli Municipality to promote different cultures residing in Sisli district kicked off last week with activities promoting Armenian culture.

The event featured various aspects of Armenian Culture including Armenian cuisine, customs, traditions, and lifestyle. 

Besides featuring Armenian culture, the 5-week event will also feature Greek, Jewish and Alawite cultures.

The series of events “Different Cultures Look at Each Other” aims to promote different cultures that enrich life in Sisli to younger generations and new residents who chose to live in the district.

Until December 20, on every Thursday at 19.00, events will take place at Ferikoy Home for Retirees. Visitors will enjoy various aspects of Greek, Jewish and Alawite cultures including their cuisine, music, traditions, and customs. The events will end with Turkish Classical Music night.

November 29th, Thursday: Cagri Cekinsel Greek Music Concert

December 6th, Thursday: Jewish Music and Culture with Alper Koptas, Gulsah Sargin and Caner Unal

December 13th, Thursday:  Alawite Music and Culture with Ozen Gunduz ve Muharrem Akgun

December 20th, Thursday: Turkish Classical Music night
