From the Museum of Turkish Jews: ´Microscope´

Hungarian Jewish academician and neuropathologist Prof. Schwartz (1894-1977), has worked in Turkey between the years 1933-1952 and has led the way for many European Jewish academicians' coming to Turkey. The microscope he had used which was produced in Austria around 1918, was donated to Istanbul Provincial Health Director Dr. Tolga Evren by Prof. Dr. Talia Bali Aykan (1918-2003). It was then handed over to the director of Health Executives Association, academic Dr. Onur Yarar, by Dr. Evren. Finally, Dr. Yarar donated the microscope to the Quincentenial Foundation Museum of Turkish Jews.

The microscope can be seen on the first floor of the museum.
