Yiğit Özalp, a senior student at Social Sciences High School in the Tire district of Izmir, turned his curiosity about the Jews of Tire into a unique oral history project. Thanks to 19-year-old Özalp, a section on Jewish heritage has been opened at the Tire Town Museum.

We went on a historical journey with Naim A. Güleryüz, who had set off with the belief that Şalom which Avram Leyon had established, should also live after Leyon, and who selflessly engaged in the founding of the new Şalom.

The Quincentennial Foundation Museum of Turkish Jews is giving start to a new project. The project ´Looking for Our Roots´ will offer Turkish Jews and Jews of Turkish origin who want to learn about their family trees, the chance to know about the previous generations of their families.

Pianist, composer, soprano, music therapist Renan Koen who has placed the ´Positive Resistance´ concept in our framework of thinking, through her research and studies on Holocaust composers, and who aims to inform people all around the world with her concerts and educations, is with us, this time, with her brand-new work.
